Master course in Automotive & Interaction design

Dario Olivero, a multidisciplinary designer born in 1984, graduated in Transportation-Car Design in 2006.

He began in 2006 as Design Team leader at I.De.A Institute participating in projects for international clients such as Fiat, Yamaha, Ariston, Continental and Professor in Car Design courses at the design universities of Turin.

In 2010/11 he was a tutor at the Master in Car Design alongside Luca Borgogno and then co-coordinator with Paolo Trevisan of the Master Advanced Design for Transportation.

From 2013 to 2017 he collaborated with the IAAD. as a Teacher in the Car Design department for exterior, interior design and portfolio courses.

In 2009 he founded DORODESIGN® in Turin, a design studio specializing in industrial design, which rapidly developed in the product, furniture and interior design as well.

Then, in 2011, DORODIGITAL is the first spin-off that provides communication services that include digital design, branding, web design and graphics.

In this period, DORODESIGN has intensified new collaborations with some important Chinese companies, in particular with SOLUX 松霖家, a home lifestyle brand in Xiamen, for the development of product design (industrial and furniture) and with Haier, from which received the Best Design Supplier award in 2016 and the Golden Dawning Award in 2018.

China becomes central to the business. In 2013 a new representative office was inaugurated in the city of Xiamen in Fujian. A new consultancy in the automotive industry brings to life DOROGARAGE, the second spin-off fully dedicated to projects and consultancy in Car design and Mobility, both in Italy and in China.

In 2013, DORODESIGN was awarded the Red Dot Design Award with the “Sedia3” project and the Red Dot Design Award Honorable Mention 2013 for the Solux Flex Kitchen.

“Live the dream, follow your passion” is his motto. He has made his career out of passion, his reality out of dreams. Multidisciplinary designer, he has always been fascinated by design and “creating” products, scenarios and opportunities, a lover of languages, fascinated by eastern culture and interested in behavioural logic and the interaction between design and emotions.
