Opplà: a digital platform for fighting social isolation

I am Simona, a new digital designer with a background as a ceramist, thanks to which I discovered and developed a great passion for decoration and illustration.
I consider myself a creative soul with a deep inclination towards finding solutions that are not only functional, but also have a positive social impact.

The project aims to address the challenges of social isolation of the elderly and the lack of voluntary work by creating a meaningful link between the elderly and non-profit organizations.
Elderly people are a valuable resource for society, but they often risk being left alone and losing their social role within it. At the same time, non-profit organizations, which have been steadily increasing in recent years, increasingly need volunteers to support their activities.

Therefore, I want to propose a simple and intuitive platform that serves as a meeting point between seniors and associations, offering a valuable opportunity to counteract social isolation and promote active involvement in society. The concept of the project, ‘Just an Opplà to feel active’, wants to focus on the simplicity and speed of the service, showing how in a few steps people can feel active again.
