IAAD. – Istituto d’Arte Applicata e Design participates in the 2022 edition of Fashion Graduate Italia, an event organized by Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda in which Young Italian and international talents from the best Fashion Schools and Academies present themselves through innovative projects and content in a physical and digital showcase.
For this eighth edition, dedicated to sustainable innovation, students are called to put their creativity to work on important factors such as research into sustainable materials, energy-saving solutions, environmental policies, product life extension and “end of life” management.

Ayame Federica, Elisabetta, Manuela, Matteo and Jehona, IAAD. students of the Textile & Fashion design Course, will show the CORPUS VERBI collection on the catwalk.

CORPUS VERBI
The collection contemplates and summarizes five individual projects with great expressive and narrative power and the result of an articulated and multidisciplinary path of analysis and research.
The general theme, then declined in the individual projects, is that of COURAGE, which passes from a conceptual and abstract dimension to a physical and material representation capable of manifesting itself and expressing itself through a language.
Such the symbiosis between language and body is narrated from a dynamic performance that will tell the evolutionary path of a “creature”, an entity, whose growth depends on the language it uses and builds during its evolution.
The structures and shapes of the garments are unusual and unusual while the materials used for the packaging are subject to a reuse and recycling process and come from areas and contexts other than clothing. The fabrics, applications and imitation leather materials are the result of innovative research and experimentation starting from the manipulation of some organic elements.
The forms and materials thus become the signs of a language and a form of dynamic, kinetic and engaging expression.
