Davide Racca<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

My name is Davide Racca, and I was born in 1993 in Carmagnola.
I have always had a strong sensitivity and a clear aesthetic in relation to creative contexts. Howe-ver, before embarking on the recently completed course at IAAD., I didn\u2019t have the opportunity to academically explore this ability.
Indeed, my educational journey has been quite tumultuous. After graduating in electronics and telecommunications from the E. Amaldi Industrial Technical Institute in Orbassano, I entered the workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few years later, with a stable job, I decided to retrace my steps and invest my time and resources to prove to myself that I had something to offer creatively. That\u2019s when I decided to pursue the academic path of Textile and Fashion Design offered by IAAD.
During my studies, I was able to achieve what I consider to be personal as well as professional goals. I participated in numerous workshops that solidified my design approach, and most importantly, I had the opportunity to work several times in collaboration with my favorite designer\u2019s company: Rick Owens.
My thesis project was a pleasant culmination of an extremely satisfying journey. I continued my collaboration with Owenscorp, creating an autobiographical thesis project inspired by the phases and experiences that have made me the proud person I am today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The following thesis project develops its concept around the theme of identity and the process of its construction. After an in-depth research on the topic and how it has been approached throughout the ages, a trendbook will be developed, followed by the design of a collection in collaboration with Rick Owens.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collection has been divided into three parts inspired by Plato’s tripartition of the soul and the myth of the winged chariot narrated by the philosopher himself. Each of these parts will be characterized taking into account psychological and philosophical studies, cognitive science, and Jung and Hillman’s archetypes. The collection will, in turn, serve as a metaphor to narrate a journey of inner self-development with autobiographical value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
