Ecodesign<\/strong> is an approach to design<\/strong> that aims to create products<\/strong> with minimal environmental impact<\/strong> throughout their life cycle. It involves considering the entire supply chain<\/strong>, from the extraction of raw materials to final disposal, seeking to minimize resource use, pollution emissions<\/strong>, and waste<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ecodesign approach reverses the classic design process because it starts with the materials available rather than a blank sheet of paper. The theme<\/strong> of this workshop will be seating of all kinds that facilitates dialogue<\/strong>. Students will have at their disposal a kit of materials<\/strong> and tools recovered<\/strong> from Fercam packaging with which to design<\/strong> and prototype seating<\/strong> in a circular economy perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FERCAM ECHO LABS<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The idea for the FERCAM Echo Labs project originated from a simple need at the FERCAM Rome headquarters: to create an eco-sustainable relax  area for employees, warehouse personnel, and drivers to enjoy during their breaks. We started with two obsolete shipping containers that our technicians modified and repainted, transforming them into an innovative and welcoming space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just as a single small drop can create ever-widening ripples, this first initiative sparked a larger vision. We realized that it was possible to generate a significant and positive impact on people and the environment, leaving a legacy to be proud of. And so, FERCAM Echo Labs was born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Echo Labs initiatives focus on: Safeguarding and improving environmental conditions, Using natural resources wisely and rationally, Reintegrating disadvantaged or disabled people into the workforce, Welcoming and integrating migrants into society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Echo Labs is a project by FERCAM, a family-run multinational logistics operator present in 21 countries with over 100 branches and a dense network of correspondents worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
