Alias Career, the Institution guarantees to transsexual and transgender students, and to those who do not identify with their biological gender and prefer to identify with their chosen gender in all aspects of their educational experience at the Institution, the possibility of living in a serene environment attentive to the protection of privacy and to every person\u2019s right to be recognised in their chosen gender, thereby fostering interpersonal relationships grounded in fairness and mutual respect for individual freedom and inviolability. In practice, the Alias Career makes it possible to use, in everyday academic contexts \u2014 registers, communications, assignments, classroom interactions \u2014 a chosen name different from the one appearing in the Institute\u2019s official records. It is a concrete tool of inclusion and protection that IAAD. makes available to all students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-black-color has-css-opacity has-black-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-transform:uppercase\">The aims of the Alias Career Regulation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Alias Career Regulation aims to eliminate situations of discomfort and forms of discrimination linked to sex, sexual orientation and gender identity. To this end, the Regulation governs the administrative procedure that makes it possible to acquire an alias identity \u2014 that is, to use a chosen name different from the one recorded in IAAD.\u2019s official registry \u2014 by assigning the interested person a provisional, transitional and non-consolidable identity: the so-called Alias Career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three fundamental principles inspire the Regulation: Continuity of the educational pathway. The alias identity accompanies the student consistently throughout the entire study path, without creating misalignments in everyday communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-black-color has-css-opacity has-black-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-transform:uppercase\">How to activate the Alias Career at IAAD.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The procedure for activating the Alias Career is described in detail in the official Regulation. In summary, the process includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Submission of the request.<\/strong> The interested student submits a written request to activate the Alias Career to the IAAD. Academic Office, indicating the chosen name they wish to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Signing of the agreement.<\/strong> Once the request has been accepted, a confidential document is signed, governing the use of the chosen name in academic contexts and formalising the confidential handling of personal data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Activation of the alias identity.<\/strong> The Office updates the internal systems (register, communications, teaching materials) so that all contexts not bound by legal validity requirements refer to the chosen name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Revision and revocation.<\/strong> The alias identity is transitional and non-consolidable. It may be modified or revoked at any time, following the procedure indicated in the Regulation. Note. The official identity document, legally valid certificates (diploma, statements, exam minutes, communications to authorities) must necessarily remain in the student\u2019s legal name. All other contexts \u2014 class registers, academic emails, badge, internal lists, daily communications \u2014 may refer to the chosen name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-black-color has-css-opacity has-black-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-transform:uppercase\">Privacy, respect and academic environment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The activation of an Alias Career entails IAAD.\u2019s commitment to ensuring that information relating to the gender identity of the persons concerned is handled with the utmost confidentiality, in accordance with current legislation on the protection of personal data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On a relational level, the existence of the Regulation also has a cultural meaning: it makes explicit that IAAD. considers diversity in gender identity and sexual orientation to be part of its community, and acts concretely so that all members of the community can take part in the educational pathway without having to endure situations of discomfort or forms of discrimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three protections that the Regulation guarantees in daily practice:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Confidential handling. Only staff strictly necessary for the administrative management of the Alias Career may access the information linking the legal name and the chosen name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consistency in teaching interactions. Once the Alias Career has been activated, lecturers and administrative staff are required to use the chosen name in academic interactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Active protection against discrimination.
