Italy has long been recognised worldwide for its manufacturing and design capabilities\u2014combining, with mastery, high technology and high craftsmanship. The project\u00a0“Nuova Intelligenza del Made in Italy” (The New Intelligence of Made in Italy<\/em>)\u00a0revolves around three pillars:\u00a0craftsmanship<\/strong>,\u00a0artificial intelligence<\/strong>, and\u00a0social, ethical innovation<\/strong>\u00a0linked to the worlds of arts and applied arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other words, the ability to transform raw materials into high-quality products. Driven by the design sector, Italy is home to\u2014and continues to foster\u2014valuable artisanal realities.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is, a project\u2019s ability to respect environmental sustainability criteria as well as accessibility and openness to diversity.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The main goal of NIMI is to bring Made in Italy back onto the international stage, giving a global audience of designers the opportunity to embrace the \u201cintelligences\u201d that have made it a strategic asset of our production system. Through the internationalisation of the AFAM sector, it will be possible to promote the excellence of Made in Italy\u2014from applied arts to creative media and digital arts\u2014in relation to new technologies, and AI in particular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

NIMI\u2019s partnership spans Italy\u2019s design landscape from North to South. In each territory, the most interesting experiences across the three areas will be mapped to initiate research into the potential offered by new technologies and social policies in the growth of Made in Italy. Five partners come from three different AFAM fields and are supported by the research experience of the University of Salerno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first phase of the programme will generate a series of activities focused on the three \u201cintelligences\u201d. The prototypes created by students and for the territories will become the narrative thread for an international dialogue with planners, creatives, and designers from all over the world\u2014invited to contribute to their development\u2014so that Made in Italy can become\u00a0\u201cdesigned everywhere.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This work will be carried out through\u00a0individual mobility pathways<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0international workshops<\/strong>, fostering dialogue and co-design among students from different cultures. These will take place during the most important events connected to Made in Italy, both in Italy and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dissemination will be a key element\u2014especially to spark a virtuous cycle in which new creator ambassadors and influencers will help bring this paradigm of the New Made in Italy into a new scenario, where craftsmanship engages with the most advanced technologies through new teaching pathways.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
