Each Academic Year IAAD.<\/strong> devotes the third week of February to research by organising IAAD. DESIGN WORKSHOP<\/strong>, a synergic workshop system that represents a moment of participated thought, whose aim is to invite students, professors and cultural representative to constructively confront the problems and opportunities of the community. Thoughts to be transformed into projects, all within a week of teamwork.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

IAAD. Design Workshop are open to all third year IAAD. academic students and host students\u2019 delegations from other Italian and international colleges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A wider thematic area is defined that is then organised into different workshops approaching it from different points of view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To each workshop corresponds one team made of one project leader (a professional whose<\/p>\n\n\n\n

work is closely related to the workshop\u2019s subject), one or more assistant and students from<\/p>\n\n\n\n

different IAAD. departments and guest delegations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each team will include graduating students representing each Academic Diploma Course and will be thus characterised by transversal competencies to promote exchanges between<\/p>\n\n\n\n

different cultural, sociological, and academic backgrounds.This fifteenth edition, titled \u201cEx-machina: Re-imagine Design in the AI Era\u201d<\/strong>, taking place from February 17 to 22, 2025, will focus on the impact that Generative AI may have on our society, envisioning future scenarios, design opportunities, innovative solutions, and emerging needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GENERATIVE AI, IAAD. TELLS OF A POSSIBLE FUTURE.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The advent of Generative AI has changed both the way we look at the future and the way we live the present as well. New tools, based on self-learning principles, are now part of everyday life, intervening unequivocally on our habits are students, teachers, professionals, people. The ethical debate and the law both explore and try to frame and see the potentiality and the risks of this transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IAAD.\u2019s Community contributes to the debate by exploring and narrating futuristic scenarios on design\u2019s evolution. The research is developed through 7 areas of intervention, each one corresponding to one workshop. For each field the analysis will present how AI is changing its user\u2019s perspectives and expectations, what is its impact in terms of opportunities and risks, how the dynamics in the man-machine relation are configured and will end with the design of an innovative service or product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
