Introduction to the context<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fashion industry makes a significant contribution to driving the global economy, with a turnover of around 3 trillion dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the textile-fashion supply chain has been actively working on environmental sustainability for around 10 years. As a result, changes in business models are now increasingly focused on structured goals related to circularity and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These two aspects have expanded the number of professional roles revolving around the fashion industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IAAD. Master offers students the opportunity to specialise in management, developing the key skills required to take on roles in Marketing, Buying, Communication, Social Media Management, Business Development, Events and Retail in the Fashion, Luxury and Lifestyle sectors. It is also designed for those who wish to develop an entrepreneurial project linked to the fashion industry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Master in Fashion Management Programme<\/h3>
\n

The Master focuses on the current fashion landscape, with particular attention to new consumer behaviours resulting from the digital revolution, as well as production processes within the context of the circular economy, environmental ethics and local development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first part of the course analyses the reality of the supply chain. Circular economy principles will be addressed through a project\/case study entirely dedicated to the sustainable supply chain: from identifying a sustainable fabric, to the production cycle, through to the communication of an ethical and sustainable manifesto to the end customer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course\u2019s focus on the fashion business will further explore concepts of fashion economics and marketing, concentrating on company organisation and on the processes through which fashion becomes an industrial product of major commercial value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Business communication techniques will be examined across different areas, including commercial communication, institutional communication, managerial communication and financial communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In communicating the fashion project, priority will be given to the analytical and theoretical tools used in design fields for the creation of a brand strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second part of the Master will focus on the digital environment, with two courses respectively dedicated to writing techniques for media and to graphic design. This semester will have a more practical orientation, covering disciplines such as event design and exhibition space design, with particular attention to visual merchandising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delivery mode, attendance and participation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Master\u2019s teaching format is based on lectures and workshops with compulsory attendance. Students are required to take an active part in the courses and to complete all assignments proposed during the programme in a timely manner. In addition, students will be required to develop a final project, which will be assessed by the examination board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the academic year, IAAD. may organise educational visits to companies, exhibitions and museums, special workshops, and meetings with leading professionals.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

General information<\/h3>

Requirements and admission procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Master is open to graduates holding first- and second-level academic qualifications in Fashion Design, degree courses in economics and the humanities, as well as professionals wishing to gain a specialisation in fashion management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants are expected to have a strong general cultural background and a keen interest in art history, contemporary art, cinema, psychology, sociology and literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admission is subject to the evaluation of the application, which must include a motivational letter, curriculum vitae and, where applicable, a portfolio. IAAD. reserves the right to request an additional interview, either on campus or via Skype, should it deem this necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access to the Master is only possible upon authorisation by the Course Coordinator, based on the evaluation of academic qualifications, professional background and any portfolio submitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
