European Master of Science in Design
Master’s degrees of IAAD are recognised by EABHES - European Accreditation Board of Higher Educational Schools - to obtain the title of “European Master of Science in Design” (trad. “Laurea specialistica/magistrale in Scienza del design”) to a total value of 120 credits.
They enjoy,also, the patronage of the most important national associations category(ANFIA - for transportation design, ADI – for industrial design, AIPI – for interior design, AIAP – for advertising and graphic design).
Master’s degrees are open to students who already have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma.
Master’s programmes confer a professional qualification through the attainment of the stage and require the development of a complex dissertation in collaboration with a company.
To summarize the desire for inclusion of students in the world of work, each master is supported by a pool of authoritative partner companies.

TRANSPORTATION DESIGN
The ability to match a concept to a form and this in a style is what now ask companies to designers of means of transport.
Master’s degree is to provide the tools to design a proper relationship between mobility and territory, considering fundamental the stylistic aspect.
With this meaning, design is crucial more than context to the creation of a professional full and conscious.
To design it is important to know and be able to manage theoretical aspects, potential and expressive means sending details to the creation of innovative concepts.
The design process begins with an enlarged research,it moves through the exploration of possible scenarios and it reaches the summary of the content through the implementation of sketching, virtual and real scale.
The program, then, discusses about conceptual, style, technology and ergonomic aspects to propose advanced design principles consistent with the requirements of the market and production.
A large group of partner companies alongside the Department of Transportation design of IAAD, and consequently Master’s degree, providing specific media focused on the design in the field of mobility.
In every course edition, one of the partner companies will also sponsor the thesis project;
Thesis project that students achieve within the program of study.
Those who exceed the Master in Transportation design of IAAD, preparing themselves to become professionals in the field of the main means of transport and acquiring depth skills progettual, technical and managerial.

INTERIOR AND FURNITURE DESIGN
Emotion, functionality and ergonomics: through these basic concepts: the core programmatic treat analysis and design of the main public and private place (offices, shops, exhibition spaces, restaurants, homes,…..) and will come alive through the learning of fundamental methodologic instruments that will lead to project experimentation conducted on themes regarding interior and furniture design.
The followed didactic methodology takes to a tight bond with conception of non conventional spaces caused by the comparison with the whole knowledge that contribute to the forming of an interior designer;
the project, in fact, is never in front of a de-contextualized pure space dimension, but in front of landscapes endowed with sense directions, linked to cultures of belonging, symbols and signs.
Other than ex novo design, themes relative to renovating and re-use of historical and contemporary spaces, analyzed through the artificial scenery in which man operates and lives.
Principles of bio-architecture will be given to analyze the importance of physiological and psychological comfort as well as the impact of environmental stress on individuals; moreover, technical aspects relative to use spaces will be deepened, as well as electric installation, lighting system, materials technology, and respect of rules bond and designing without barriers.
The styling and furniture design part will deepen the knowledge of the complex relationship between man-material, the study of natural and synthesis materials and the learning of technical and mechanical details for the construction of furnishing components.
It is a specialized planning approach with the aim of giving the students high level theoretical and practical notions which are constantly updated and qualitatively is at the forefront in respect to the needs of the industrial world.

INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
What comes from what: the idea that is at the base and makes this study path unique is its
multidisciplinary aspect; in the belief that forming a designer coincides in the first place with the construction of one’s own design capacity and this derives certainly from experience as from the capability of operating a correct synthesis between a multitude of events and different stimuli.
The master proposes to give a real dynamic “working” experience: contact with the poetry and
methodology of designers of different extraction result therefore the ideal instruments to operate such synthesis.
The course aims to the recovery of a project culture based on doing, on the direct involvement in the issues that concern the realization of any creative idea; for this reason, its purpose is to let the student live the entire product constitution process: from the idea to the realization of the prototype, going through the conceptualization and evolution of the idea, through the resolution of practical problem linked to practicability.
Specific subjects concerning the discipline in object will be treated, such as sketching, 2D and 3D drawing, use of colour and ergonomics, together with the branches of emerging interest that are still little known such as study of perception, behaviour dynamics and proxemics.
Inside the study path international exponents from the world of design will be involved in quality of teacher’s staff or to make lectures ex cathedra that will illustrate the specifics of their project dynamics and will be able to answer questions on themes regarding the contemporary design.
The planning inside the Master becomes the transversal category that unites professionals of different branches that are apparently far from each other.
For this reason, designers, architects together to musicians, writers, directors and philosophers will participate to the course, involved to testify and share their very personal project approach.
