The European Students’ Art Biennial represents an opportunity for students in European Art Schools to participate in a common project, to allow their works to circulate and to compare themselves to their counterparts. This combined effort is aimed at creating a common European feel that maintains nevertheless the specificity of each of the Countries’ cultures; allowing these cultures to know and identify themselves. This event also allows Art Schools to implement interesting workshops on creativity, to showcase their production for pedagogical purposes to a large audience of art-lovers, connoisseurs and experts and last but not least this is a chance to provide new motivation for works by both students and teachers.
This second edition has as its theme: “Sign & Design – for eco-responsible art”. IAAD and the Art Biennial welcome works on this them in the following categories: architecture, industrial design, fashion and textile design, visual design. After selection by an Artistic Committee, the works will be displayed in Rome in the closing exhibition of the Biennial. Amongst these finalists, 5 winners will be designated (one for each category) as well as a single, overall winner. Prizes will be awarded and internships set up for those selected students with the appropriate profiles. This is all possible thanks to the support of companies and educational institutions with which the Biennial is in contact, amongst which is IAAD.
