RECRUITING TEACHERS for 2022/2023 and 2023/2024

IAAD. – the Institute of Applied Art and Design, with schools in Turin and Bologna, is accepting applications for teachers for the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 academic years.

What is IAAD.?

IAAD. was founded in 1978 in Turin and today, after over 40 years of activity, represents one of the main institutions of higher education in Italy and in Europe. In 2012 IAAD. signed an agreement with AD Education, joining a network that includes 21 schools, 72 locations, 36,000 students and over 2,600 teachers.

In 2013 it adopted the ISIA (Higher Institute for Artistic Industries) regulations and was authorized to issue degrees compliant with the AFAM system.

IAAD. takes an innovative approach to learning, constantly listening to the needs of the market to develop focused and continuously updated training courses. Its academic programs are divided into six departments, as follows:  

All of the Academic Diplomas of the first level offered at IAAD. Turin are recognized by MUR (D.M. 13 marzo 2013, n. 162; D.M. 18 gennaio 2018, n. 22; D.M. 19 aprile 2018, n. 330).


HOW TO APPLY

IAAD. selects instructors to teach the subjects outlined in the study plans corresponding to the subject areas listed below. When submitting your application, you must select the subject area of interest and fill out the relevant form. It is possible to apply for positions in several subject areas.

A.Y. 2023/24 – The window for submitting applications closed on 8 September 2023.
A.Y. 2024/25 – The deadline for sending applications is 15 July 2024.


REQUIREMENTS

The Institute guarantees men and women equal treatment and opportunity for employment. 

Applications may submitted by those who:

  • are 18 years old or older;
  • have at least 3 years of continuous professional teaching experience in the chosen subject;
  • native Italian speakers or have written and spoken proficiency at level B2 (self-certified).

Preferred qualifications include:

  • previous teaching experience in the subject area, at Italian public institutions and/or Italian or international private institutions;
  • artistic/professional and research background in the preferred field;
  • related bachelor’s or master’s degree issued by a recognized Italian or international institution, in possession by the application deadline;
  • proficiency in written and spoken English at the B2 level or higher (self-certified, preferably certified).

SELECTION

Applications will be screened by an internal commission appointed by the Director. When positions becomes available, selected candidates will be contacted to interview for teaching assignments for one or more courses during the academic year.


CONTRACTS

Teaching and training activities take place at IAAD.’s campuses in Turin and Bologna. 
Teaching assignments are formalized by letter of employment valid for 1 to 3 years from the start of the 2022/23 academic year.
