Erasmus Policy Statement – Overall Strategy
IAAD international strategy is based on the promotion and the diffusion of design culture, starting from the Italian way of conceiving design. The collaboration is open to all the partners who share the same idea about design: design is culture of the project, a system capable of linking production with end users dealing with research and innovation to provide social value, cultural significance to goods and services, environmental awareness. Partners can be universities, enterprises, municipalities, institutions, that have this common denominator. The geographical area is focused starting from Europe and spreading all over the world. IAAD has been collaborating with France (Ecoles de Conde is IAAD partner), Poland, Germany, Israel, Saudi Arabia, India, China, Japan. Targets are mainly students (first and second cycles) who are involved in the development of projects thought for the common sake, such as sustainable mobility, social communication, innovative production. Such collaborations open the way to traineeships for students: partners can meet IAAD students and see how they work, evaluating their skills “on the job”, so they can choose the best ones and offer them a job opportunity. The results of the international collaborations are published on IAAD website and are sent to the main sector magazines – both press and web version.
